Wedding

We went to Columbus for my cousin Stacey’s wedding. The wedding was beautiful and at the reception when the wedding party was being announced Nathan thought all the cheers and clapping was for him so he started showing off by waving and clapping too. The real fun began after dinner when the live band started playing. Nathan went out to the dance floor with Grandpa Reinhart to check out all the instruments and to dance, he liked the trombone the best.

There were lots of places at the reception for Nathan to explore and ran into his great cousin Johnny. Johnny was teasing Nathan and making him laugh. Here is a cute picture of the two of them sitting on the foot rest of the bar.

Weekend in Cincy

Over the weekend we took a trip to Cincinnati with the Rasmussen family. On Saturday we went to the Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Union Station.

The children’s museum had multiple sections that focused on different activities from the “Energy Zone” which is a giant ball cage, “Water Works”, “The Woods”, “Kids Town”, and “Little Sprouts Farm”, a toddler area which ended up being a great place for Nathan and Sully to run around. Nathan had a great time and was thoroughly interested in the sand table, pushing the wheelbarrow, getting in and out of toy cars and firetrucks and following all the other kids around.

After we ate lunch we went up to Tower 4 which was the original control tower for Union Station. Nathan was intrigued with all the trains on the tracks and waived to one of the trains coming down the track.
And of course Sully found the train table.

We had 1 hour to check into the hotel before our dinner reservation at Montgomery Inn Barbeque so Nathan was able to take a short nap. After we ate a delicious dinner we had all the boys line up in front of the Montgomery Inn Pig. It was a little difficult to get all the boys looking and smiling at the camera.
As we were getting ready to take the picture we asked the boys to say cheese and Nathan smiled directly at me and said “cheese” it was about the cutest thing ever. I had never heard him say cheese before. Here is a Pic of Nathan saying cheese.

On Sunday we went to the Cincinnati Zoo. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the temperature reached a record breaking 85 degrees. The Zoo was packed with people and the animals were all out and about and showing off. The elephants, tigers, lions, rhinoceros, monkeys, and bears were probably just as excited about the warm weather as we were because they were walking around and making noises. Nathan sat on top of Nick’s shoulders for a better view of the exhibits.

He pointed and waved to all the animals.

Nathan even got to pet some goats, and the tail of a baby alligator.

Nathan also got to talk to a parrot and watch a sloth eat leaves hanging upside down from a tree in the “Discovery Forrest”.

Nathan also got some time to play on the playset and loved sliding down the slide like a big boy..sitting up feet first.
By the afternoon we were all so hot we had to stop for some ice cream. We had a great time at the zoo and we are looking forward to going back.

Little Climber

Nathan thinks it is funny to climb into the laundry baskets and the toy box. He also tries to climb up the slide in the backyard, on the coffee table and other furniture. Here are some pictures of my little climber.

Hanging with Fiona

Nathan’s Great Aunt Sandy was in town so Uncle Andy, Aunt Brooke and Cousin Fiona came to Dayton to visit while she was in town.

Sunday was really nice day so we all went outside (Nathan’s favorite) to play.

Daddy's B-day

Nick’s B-day was on March 27th and I got him and Nathan both an Ohio State Basketball. We went outside to try the basketballs out and as Nick was dribbling the ball, Nathan watched and then tried to dribble the ball too. Nathan’s dribbling consisted of dropping the ball and then picking it up and dropping it again. Nathan just wanted to do what Daddy was doing.

Boys Boys Everywhere

The Braun and Rasmussen Boys came over for some pizza Saturday night. There was lots of commotion with 5 little boys but everyone was happy and smiling and getting along. What more could you ask for?

Sippy Cup Cozy

Nathan wants to be just like Daddy by using a cub cozy for his sippy cup.

Green Milk

For St. Paddy’s Day Nathan started the day out right with some lucky charms for breakfast. Later that day Grandma and Grandpa Reinhart and Uncle Scott came over for some Irish Stew and Green Beverages. We finished the meal with some St. Patrick’s Day cup-cakes. Yummy.

Outside Kid

To say Nathan loves being outside is no understatement. He really is the happiest whenever he gets to go out and explore. I am just glad it is starting to get nicer out. Even on the days that is still cold we bundle Nathan up and take him out. He doesn’t mind the wind, or the cold. He just wants to be out there. He will go and get his coat, hat and our coats and go to the door and point outside. It is hard to say no when he is so cute.

My little Valentine

Here is a pic of Mommy and Daddy littlest valentine.

Cinnamon Rolls

One of our weekend traditions is to make cinnamon rolls for breakfast either on Saturday or Sunday. Nathan gets really excited for the cinnamon rolls and gets out the oven mitts from the drawer, puts them on his hand and he tries to open the oven. It is a good thing they only need 10 mins to bake because it is hard to keep Nathan occupied until they are finished and ready to eat. Here are some pics of Nathan ready for the cinnamon rolls.

And here is a picture of Nathan chowing down.
